Jessica shared the first photo of Nick on her Instagram in April 2017. In it, the professional baseball player kisses her hand while he drives. She made her debut on his Instagram a few months later in August, with a picture of her smiling at the camera during an outing.

Nick was playing for the Detroit Tigers when their romance began, where he had been on the team since 2013. Since then, he has also played for the Chicago Cubs and the Cincinnati Reds before joining the Philadelphia Phillies in 2022.
